That Zawgyi font appears to be based on a hacked version of Microsoft's Tahoma and most likely in violation of License terms. Read all questions and answers relevant to Burmese font here first, and post a question if you still want to. It works against Windows 8 built-in Myanmar Text font and your Windows 8 is screwed-up good for Burmese languages. It is not encoded to comply Unicode encoding thus not interchangeable with other languages of the world. The font you installed is not a Burmese font, it's a abused-Unicode font.It places characters in places assigned by Unicode Org for other Burmese languages Mon, Karen, Shan etc, so in effect a a destructive to the development of those languages thus known as ethnic-cleansing font.

Kindly advise how to uninstall/delete this font. I still can not delete zawgyi font in the fonts folder. I even tried to find zawgyi in the folders and deleted them. I tried to close all internet and other applications. It can not with the message that zawgyi is in use. I go to Control panel and try to delete Zawgyi in the fonts folder. The keyboard is not working properly as Zawgyi is still in the background. The language bar is also with my old Burmese, Rakhine and Shan keyboard.
When I went back to my log in with my old account, internet came back with my old bookmarks without my installing and the Zawgyi font is back. I thought that Zawgyi font would go away, but apparently not.

Now due to dual OS install problem with Ubuntu Linux I have to format and re install Win8. This plays havoc with both fonts.ĭisplay and keyboards are effected. However when I install the Zawgyi keyboard admittedly a rouge font, it then overwrites the unicode code points of the original Myanmar Text font. I understand what you have advised, in fact I have installed Win8 three or four times with the Myanmar Text already installed in it. But I use visual studio 2017, vb.net to test print with the same font in notepad, but it printed wrong characters.is that uncode version issue or other reason? Anyone have any advice? I had install several Myanmar fonts in windows 7 and print correct characters with notepad.
